"Immortally Yours came from the fact that when my husband would give me a card, he would sign it that way. Fangtastic Cards came from the fact that I adore vampires and make vampire themed cards."

Why did you choose to make/sell what you do?

"There are people out there who just cringe at the thought of getting a card from Hallmark Those cards aren't as special as one that is hand made and shows a labor of love. I want to attract people who like hand made cards as well as those who are a little dark by nature."

What inspires the designs/creations you make?
"Well, everything Vampire, Halloween or Marie Antoinette. I do draw most inspiration from my husband-who is also a vampire."

 "Since all of my items are OOAK, one of a kind, I generally make the cards on a whim. I'm always adding new papers and embellishments to my supplies!"

Since it's Christmas, I asked the shops to share their favorite holiday movie.

"The Wizard of Oz always ran right around Thanksgiving and for me it represented the start of winter. To this day, it's still a family tradition to watch it."


For a little holiday fun, I asked the shops to share with us some of their favorite recipes and craft how to's.

APPLE CARAMEL PIE

Deep dish pie crust
1 bag of Kraft caramels
10 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1 tblsp lemon juice
1 tblsp rum flavoring
2 tblsp butter
1/3 cup of brown sugar
½ cup flour
¼ cup margarine
1 tblsp of cornstarch

Drizzle lemon and rum flavoring over apples
and set aside.

Combine dry ingredients, adding the butter
last and stir together. Mixture should be
crumbly.

Place apples into pie shell. Sprinkle with the flour mixture.

Bake in a preheated oven at 400 degrees for 30-
45 minutes. Remove pie and let cool a little.

Melt caramels in the microwave, adding a touch of
milk to help mixture become smooth and
creamy. Pour over pie and allow it to cool
completely. (Hot caramel can burn the mouth
so let it cool, no matter how anxious you are to
try it!!) Enjoy!!
