The Eiffel Tower ~ Paris, France ~ 1985
That's me Kris at the Eiffel Tower. In 1985, the summer before 9th grade, I was lucky enough to get to go on a class trip to Europe. 9 countries in 28 days. It was fast paced, we traveled by bus, the hotels were far from fancy and some spots might not have been too pleasant but I am so glad I had the chance to do it! Hopefully I will get to go back again and see it as an adult.

How did you choose your shop name?
"I wanted to have a fun retro name combining my love all Rockabilly and kitsch. I asked my book club girlfriends to help and one of my friends came up with Apocalypso and I added Hula Tallulah as my Alter Ego."

"It is a combination of things I love and things my friends love."

What inspires the designs/creations you make?
"Everything and anything! I am a sponge. I think that is why my store is so varied. I find things of from all walks of life inspire me."

I asked each shop to share one of their favorite Vacation Photos with us.
"This picture if from my last trip with my family to the islands, our home away from home, and stopping on the roads on the hillside to admire the view of the islands in the distance. You can see them reflected in my sunglasses. The proof is in my frazzled, frizzed sea salted hair. Pure contentment."
