Attack of the 31 Night's of Halloween Shop Features - Blood Bath

Blood Bath comes to us from San Diego, CA. This shop is filled with creepy good treats that smell wonderful!

Corpse Cleanser Body Wash

From Corpse Cleanser (body wash), Morbid Moisture (body lotion), Stench Reducer (body spray) and Lip Embalm (lip balm).

They also make these cool Dexter Blood Slide Soaps. I received one in my order the other day and it's so fun and smell great. These would be a great gift for any Dexter or horror fan.

Coffin Candy Gift Set

Their products come in horrific scents like Coffin Candy (my personal favorite), Screamsicle, Gaspberry, Zombie Zen, Vanilla Vamp, Death By Chocolate, Petrifying Pomegranate, Creepy Colada, Cleopatra's Curse and Zombie Love. I have never been disappointed by anything I've gotten from them. Enter our GIANT Giveaway and you could win a Blood Bath "Haunted Hotel Sampler" and "Lip Embalm" in any flavors you choose.

Since it's Halloween I had to ask the shops what their favorite horror film is. The Queen Zombie over at Blood Bath told me "Hmmm that's a tough one because I have so many! I suppose I'll go with Dario Argento's Suspiria."

A big thanks to Blood Bath for joining in the giveaway. Take a moment to peruse the shop and see what spooky good products they have.

Night 7 - Silver Bullet

Tagline - Whenever the moon is full... it comes back!
*******

Directed by Daniel Attias and released on October 11, 1985 by Paramount Pictures (rated R). When Marty (Corey Haim) starts to suspect the brutal murders in town are being caused by a Werewolf he enlist the help of his sister and uncle (Gary Busey) to help him kill it. Unfortunately for Marty the Werewolf knows he knows! Uh ooooh!!!
*******

I decided to put this on the list because I like Werewolf stories and I remembered it being a good movie. Then I was worried that it might not hold up after all these years and it might be a painful review. Happily it ended up still being a fun movie that more than deserves to be on the list. Great dark and spooky atmosphere, not too bad 80's Werewolf makeup (best when he stays in the shadows) and a good amount of bloody killings. Plus, if you're a fan of Lost, you get to see a very young and very skinny Locke (Terry O'Quinn). It's also based on a Stephen King Novelette.

The truly scary part of the film... having to watch Gary Busey! Eeeek!!
*******

Some trivia about the movie...
1. Early drafts of the film's script, including the pressbook release, it stated that the werewolf speaks. In the actual film itself, the werewolf does not speak at anytime.
2. Producer Dino De Laurentiis was very unhappy with the werewolf used in the film. He was disappointed in both the way it looked and the way the costumed actor moved. This proved to be a bit of an insult to the actor wearing the suit as he was an accomplished modern dancer and was hired specifically for his movement skills.
3. Based on the Stephen King novelette "Cycle of the Werewolf". King also wrote the screenplay but did not appear in the movie like he did in so many of his other books turned to movies.

  1. i liked this movie...it's fun to watch. hard to believe that it was ever considered a 'scary' movie, though...great danes being used as hunting dogs is a detail which jars!

  7. I really liked this one when it came out... Gary Busey was/is such a clod, but that added to the charm.
