Fear Friday ~ The Sunday St Patrick's Day Edition

Fridays at Laughing Vixen Lounge Blog are Fear Fridays where we review a different horror/scary/thriller/classic horror movie. We haven't been having them very regularly lately but I'm hoping they make a comeback soon 8) Tonight's Fear Friday is on Sunday to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. So wear your green, drink some spirits and have a laugh at tonight's movie collection.

Fear Friday - Leprechaun Collection

Tagline - Your luck just ran out

Directed by Mark Jones and released on January 8, 1993 by Trimark Pictures (rated R). Someone steals the little guy's gold and he's not happy about it. After 10 years of being locked in a basement the Leprechaun is freed and ready to get revenge. And his gold back!

OK, so this is a silly romp but never the less fun for the holiday. Hard to believe this one spawned five sequels. That Leprechaun went to the hood, to space and back to the hood again! Oh my! I have seen at least the first and third one. Silly but entertaining. The SyFy channel has a marathon on today so maybe I can see him go to space. HA!!! Maybe he'll meet up with Jason there.

If you like your horror with a slice of cheese, or a few (green) beers, this can be a fun watch. Or if you're a fan of Jennifer Aniston this was her first movie.

Happy St. Patrick's Day and don't take any pots of gold! 8)

Take a look at the original trailer...

Some trivia about the movie...
1. The first film from Trimark.
2. According to Warwick Davis, the movie was originally planned as a scary kids' film, but the studio thought it would work better as a more adult horror, so inserts were filmed to ramp-up the gore-factor.

  3. Wow, Jennifer A looks so young... I'm guessing that even her mother doesn't own a copy of this one, lol.
